Total Canadian propane stocks stood at 10.3 million bbl as of Dec. 1, down 783,000 bbl from Nov. 1, the National Energy Board (NEB) reported on Dec. 22.
Stocks were 1.87 million bbl above year-ago levels. The report’s release was delayed due to a delay in reporting from contributing companies, an NEB source told Energy Transport Insider.
This report does not include a propane demand bump that accompanied cold weather that swept into Canada and the U.S. in mid-December.
Western Canada propane stocks fell 772,000 bbl for the month, reaching 4.948 million bbl as of Dec. 1. Stocks were 376,000 bbl over year-ago levels.
