Here are some shorts about rail and LPG industries for the week.

Corn harvest about to start 

If Southern Corn Belt farmers have not gotten into the fields already they will next week as the fall harvest gets under way. The Southern Corn Belt is generally defined as those areas south of Interstate 80. How convenient of the U.S. Department of Transportation to build a highway that would serve as a dividing line.

Will the LPG industry see a heavy crop drying demand? I’m not so sure. Reports from ProFarmer’s August crop tour suggested that the corn is maturing on schedule and will likely be able to dry naturally in the field...
