U.S. propane/propylene stocks fell 3.6 million bbl to 95.6 million bbl in the week ended Dec. 9, the Department of Energy (DOE) reported this week. The decline was tied to a demand increase that accompanied the arrival of cold weather and strong exports.
Exports rose 177,000 b/d to an average of 902,000 b/d from the previous week.
Demand, as implied by product supplied, stood at an average of 1.502 million b/d, up 25,000 b/d from the previous week. Year-to-date product supplied in 2016 stood at an average of 1.123 million b/d, up 2.9% from the same period in 2015.
