Cold weather finally pushed into the U.S. this week, sparking a rise in propane consumption.
Yet, wholesalers, retailers and consumers are well-stocked with the winter heating fuel. For now, that means the propane delivery system is meeting customer needs. If the cold weather lingers for more than a couple of weeks, however, the current supply cushion could be depleted and wholesalers would need to order extra rail cars of propane.
