During a call with analysts Thursday following the release of its Q3 earnings release, Energy Transfer Partners reiterated expectations that the Mariner East 2 (ME2) natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline, being built by its subsidiary Sunoco Pipeline L.P., is expected to open by the end of this year.
“Commissioning activities on segments of ME2 are already underway and we now expect to place ME2 in initial service this quarter,” chief financial officer, Thomas Long, said.
This statement was in line with what a spokeswoman for Sunoco told Energy Transport Insider late last month.
