Canadian National Railway today embargoed LPG traffic at Canada's two major LPG storage and distribution hubs -- Edmonton, Alberta and Sarnia, Ontario.
In notices sent to customers and obtained by Energy Transport Insider, the railroad said the embargo is a result of the congestion of inbound empties.
The embargo impacts the following stations in Alberta: Scotford, Fort Saskatchewan, Acheson and South Beamer. In Ontario, the embargo impacts Sarnia.
It is unknown when the embargo will be lifted.
A request to CN for comment was not immediately returned.
