CSX Says Kelly to Retire; Zillmer Elected as New Chairman

CSX Transportation Monday announced that Edward (Ned) Kelly III will retire from the CSX Board in January 2019, following the release of CSX’s fourth quarter earnings. John Zillmer was elected as chairman, effective upon Kelly’s retirement.

CSX said in a press release that Kelly served on the board for more than 16 years, including 10 years as either presiding director or chairman.

James Foote, president and chief executive officer, said in the release that Kelly's service guided CSX "with exceptional skill through many turbulent moments,” adding "particularly over these past two unprecedented years."
