Short-term LPG tank car lease rates - leases for three months or less - popped up to an average of $650/month in the latest week. This is the first time rates have hit this level since the first week of October.

Market participants say trading activity remains sluggish. But, car availability is tighter as early winter season bargains appear to have disappeared.
