Today began the journey across Western Canada.
The morning was spent in Calgary at a meeting, packing up to leave the hotel room, shooting some train photos -- for the website, grabbing lunch and heading north.
The road between Calgary and Edmonton is busy -- but it crosses the western edge of Canada’s prairie - a very rural area.
The drive was very color intense -- a beautiful cloudless blue sky, lush green fields and the periodic light brown dust kicked up by pick-up trucks zooming down the frontage roads next to the highway.
The fields and the sky drew my attention. (See above picture)
