I’m headed to Canada. Bears were my big concern. Not any more after the G-7.

Historically, I have tried to keep my professional writings free of my politics, but the events at the just-passed G-7 have provoked a change of that policy.

This coming Sunday, I’ll hop on a United Airlines flight headed to Calgary, Alberta. My reason for traveling - I’ll be a business trip. I write about the petroleum-by-rail market and that topic is a big cross-border deal. There’s a lot going on in Canada’s oil patch and most of us Southerners don’t know much about it.
