The Canadian Government is the newest player to enter the business of transporting crude oil. The country’s government last week bought the Trans Mountain Pipeline (TMP) and expansion project (TMEP) from Kinder Morgan Inc. for C$4.5 billion.
The deal allows Kinder Morgan to exit a situation comparable to being caught in the middle of a family feud.
The Trans Mountain Pipeline system carries crude oil from production areas in Alberta to an export terminal in Vancouver, British Columbia.
