Chester County Commissioners Urge PA PUC to Uphold Mariner East Suspension; Drilling Mud Leaks Near Snitz Creek

The Commissioners of Chester County, Pennsylvania, reflecting citizen concern, asked the state’s Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to uphold a suspension of work on the Mariner East natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline system. Also, this week, Pennsylvania regulators halted construction on the Mariner East 2 pipeline near West Cornwall Township following a spill of drilling mud in Snitz Creek. The spill occurred in late May, according to a report from the Lebanon Daily News.
