CEO Luc Jobin is leaving CN; Board appoints Jean-Jacques Ruest Interim CEO

Luc Jobin, chief executive officer, of Canadian National Railway was replaced today with Jean-Jacques Ruest, a company statement said.

Jobin's departure comes as profits and performance measures have slumped at the carrier. The railroad for more than a decade was noted for its low operating ratio, high profitability and efficiency. However, the carrier has been struggling to keep up with a surge in traffic.
