LPG Tank Car Sublease Levels Edge Lower on ME2 Announcement

Short-term tank car sublease rates lost a bit of footing late in the week after the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (Pa. DEP) announced it had lifted its order suspending DEP-permitted construction operations on Sunoco Pipeline LLP’s Mariner East 2 (ME2) natural gas liquids pipeline. (See story below.)

As part of its announcement Thursday, the DEP also issued a $12.6 million civil penalty for permit violations.
