Western Canadian Propane Exports Could Limit Volumes Available for U.S. Midwest

The April announcement by Pembina Pipeline Corp. to move forward with a marine export terminal at Prince Rupert, British Columbia, offers additional opportunity to find an outlet for stranded propane in Western Canada.

This announcement followed the January 2017 start of construction of a new propane marine export terminal also at Prince Rupert by AltaGas, Ltd. and the ongoing export of Canadian propane via Petrogas’ Ferndale export terminal in Washington State.
