U.S. propane stocks reached a new record high at 103.3 million bbl in the week ending Sept. 23, the Department of Energy reported earlier this week. That was up 1.5% from the week prior and up 4.6% from the same week a year ago.
Weak exports and continued high production contributed to the stock build. Exports stood at an average of 578,000 b/d, down from 1.05 million b/d a week prior. Exports for the week were mostly flat from year-ago levels.
