Canadian Producers: LPG Prices are going up 10cts/gal. That’s not nice, Eh?

Canadian exports of propane are on the upswing due to an increase of business with the U.S. and expectations of growth in transactions with Asia. That has led to market talk that some Canadian liquid petroleum gas (LPG) producers are looking to ink propane supply contracts for the 2017-2018 season at 10cts/gal over the previous contract year. The surprise is that this price bump has been sponsored by Alberta suppliers – located in a market that has struggled with propane oversupply issues since 2014. But, the natural gas liquids (NGL) production hub is starting to see relief as rail loading rack expansions are completed and new export projects are approved....
